The Lord’s prayer (Our Father…) is said along with all prayers we pray. We were instructed to say this prayer by Christ himself as recorded in the gospel of Luke 11:2.
“He said to them, “When you pray, say: “‘Father, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come…”
Along with “Our Father”, the prayer of “Hail Mary” is said almost all the time. This is a prayer which magnifies and praises the Mother of God as well as asks for her intercession on our behalf so that we may gain forgiveness from her son.
